2014 Was a Great Year for Austin Nichols Technical Search

The end of the year is a time for reflection. Many of us take time off to spend with our families and enjoy the season, and it becomes a time to look back over the year we’ve left behind.

For Austin Nichols Technical Search, 2014 was an exciting year full of exciting changes and opportunities to give back to the community. We’re ringing in the New Year on a high note, as 2014 saw us breaking our company record in production for direct hires! We also expanded the Austin Nichols family by hiring two new employees, and strengthened our research department in order to ensure better opportunities for our clients and our candidates in 2015 and beyond.

We’re perhaps most proud of the opportunities in 2014 we had to give something back to the community that has supported us over the years. Two of the most rewarding charitable efforts that Austin Nichols had the opportunity to get involved in over the last year were Habitat for Humanity and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

For Habitat for Humanity, we helped to clean the new Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 8516 North Oak Trafficway in KC, MO prior to its grand opening in November. The Habitat for Humanity ReStores sell new and used building materials and appliances at discounts from 20-80% off retail. All the items are donated, and all the proceeds go to help build and outfit new Habitat for Humanity homes. The ReStore on North Oak Trafficway joins several others around the KC metro area that help raise money so that Habitat for Humanity can continue to build homes for those who need them.

Austin Nichols is also very proud to have adopted a family through Big Brothers/Big Sisters in 2014. The largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network in the United States, Big Brothers/Big Sisters helps thousands of children all over the country to reach their full potential. At Austin Nichols, we’re big believers in opportunity, and in matching the right people to the right roles, and so the mentor-based approach of Big Brothers/Big Sisters really speaks to us. We’re happy to be doing our part to help out kids in the Kansas City area.

Austin Nichols has been a leading direct hire recruiting firm in Kansas City since 1988. The KC metro area is our home and has supported us for all these years, and we’re grateful for the chance to help give something back to those who need it most. Looking back, 2014 was a great year for us at Austin Nichols. But the end of the year isn’t just for reminiscing, it’s also for looking ahead, and we’re expecting even bigger and better things in 2015!
